He will be listed in the Final Exposure Draft Review section for his contributions during the production of the draft version of the guide. The PMBOK® Guide is often considered the gold standard for project management standards and best practices. First published by the Project Management Institute (PMI)^® in 1996, each subsequent edition has solidified the publication’s status as the definitive authority for project managers and leaders working in the field today. New to this edition will be a section detailing Agile implementation and approaches, a subject in which Shrivastava has specialized experience and expertise. In addition to an acknowledgement in the guide, Shrivastava has consistently utilized the widely accepted frameworks, tools, and techniques advocated in the guide and maintained active involvement in a number of PMI-sponsored events and activities across the United States.

The sixth edition of the PMBOK® Guide is estimated to be released in the third quarter of 2017.
