RefineM’s Test Simulator Upgraded

August 25, 2023

RefineM’s Project Management Professional (PMP)®test simulator features questions that have been optimized for compliance with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) Seventh Edition and the newest exam content outline.

The PMP exam changed on January 2, 2021, so test candidates need questions aligned with these changes. The PMBOK® Guide now includes eight performance domains, unlike the previous edition, which focused on ten knowledge areas. The seventh edition has shifted to focus on performance rather than process with a heavier emphasis on project quality. The new models, methods, and artifacts section provides several resources tied to the most related performance method.

The exam content outline, last updated in 2015, previously had 5 domains based on various stages of the project life cycle. The updated ECO has only three domains, People, Process, and Business Environment. This change was put in place based on research done that project professionals are working in highly varied project environments and use different approaches. The rapidly-increasing popularity of Agile and hybrid practices is reflected in the new ECO and the exam will now be split between these approaches an traditional project management. This new ECO aligns the exam closer to PMI’s Talent Triangle.

RefineM’s test simulator also features performance domain-wise tests and a comprehensive score history so users can track their practice tests with a particular knowledge area and see where they need to improve. The simulator now has a bank of over 1,000 questions developed by PMI certified PMP Exam prep instructors. New questions are frequently added and previous questions updated. Subscription options range from 2 weeks of access to 3 months of access, and users can try any trial level risk-free for up to one day and cancel with a full refund within that time.
