Description: Kanban, or “visual card,” is a system to help visualize work and make it explicit. It is useful for service and support teams who cannot control the predictability of work coming in. In addition, it can help expose process bottlenecks so they can be fixed.
Although Kanban is most closely associated with Agile, any service or support team can utilize the system. In RefineM’s Kanban Method Training course, attendees will be introduced to Kanban, its principles, how it works, and how it differs from Scrum. They will learn how to get started using Kanban and how to overcome common challenges. Attendees will leave the course prepared to implement Kanban in their organizations.
Two one-day training courses delivered to an on-site corporate audience detailing the foundations of Kanban, how to set up and run a Kanban board, the 7 Kanban Cadences, and advanced concepts.
Course Objectives: After completing the course, attendees will be able to
- Learn the basics of Kanban including visualizing work and limiting work in progress.
- Practice fundamental Kanban concepts using hands-on exercises and Agendasight's Featureban game.
- Manage workflows between worker shifts to improve productivity, add value, and reduce waste.
