Description: Kanban, or “visual card,” is a system to help visualize work and make it explicit. It is useful for service and support teams who cannot control the predictability of work coming in. In addition, it can help expose process bottlenecks so they can be fixed.
Although Kanban is most closely associated with Agile, any service or support team can utilize the system. In RefineM’s Kanban Fundamentals / Kanban 101 course, attendees will be introduced to Kanban, its principles, how it works, and how it differs from Scrum. They will learn how to get started using Kanban and how to overcome common challenges. Attendees will leave the course prepared to implement Kanban in their organizations.
Course Objectives: After completing the course, attendees will be able to
- Explain Kanban basic principles and how the system works.
- Learn key differences between Kanban and Scrum.
- Start implementing Kanban right away.
Who Should Attend: This course is ideal for project/program managers, PMO leaders, and project team members who have been managing/leading projects and are looking for agile techniques to strengthen their project management and improve their teams’ outcomes.

Course Delivery: This course will be delivered over one full day In-Person and one half-day Over the Web. All on-site courses run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM local time, and all courses over the Web run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM US Central time.
