Product Owner vs. ScrumMaster: Who Does What?

Please contact us if you would like to set up a customized training course in your city or at your corporate site.

Duration: 1 or 2 days

Description: The Product Owner and ScrumMaster both serve key roles in agile. The product owner (PO) serves as the “voice of the customer” and is responsible for collaborating between the business and developers, prioritizing work, and ensuring that the product team delivers value to the business. The ScrumMaster is a servant leader for agile teams, helping them adhere to the Scrum process for maximum results and removing impediments to the ability of the team to meet sprint goals and deliverables. Both roles overlap significantly, which may sometimes cause confusion as to who should be doing what. In RefineM's course, attendees will learn the roles and responsibilities of the Product Owner and ScrumMaster and will leave the course with a better picture of how each role contributes to success on an agile project.
